Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 20

6 Cities of Refuge (COR) were determined, 3 on either side of Jordan (v.7-8). COR symbolize Jesus and his work on the cross for mankind. The slayer who killed someone by accident could find protection at COR (v.3). This symbolizes that all humanity, who have sinned, can find forgiveness and protection at the cross of Christ!
The avenger of blood represents Satan, who always accuses us of our sins (Rev 12:10). But when the high priest died, the slayer was set completely free from the avenger of blood, and he could leave the COR (v.6)! Our High Priest, Jesus, died to set us free from Satan’s accusations and oppression! PTL!
Let’s not fear Satan, because Rev 12:11 says we can overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, by Christ’s death!

The 6th lot fell to Naphtali (v.32-39). The 7th lot fell to Dan (v.40-48). Lastly, Joshua was given an inheritance (v.49-50).
Yes, Lord, divide Japan into sections and send LDCs and believers there to lead the people in those sections into revival and salvation!
