Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 48
This beloved psalm is about Mount Zion (v.1-2), a small mountain in Jerusalem, which symbolizes many things, including, the city of David, the Tabernacle of David, the city and presence of God, Jerusalem, Israel, the movement of Jews returning to their homeland, the church, the bride of Christ, etc.
V.12-13 tell us to walk about Zion and get to know her well so that we can share it to the next generation. So let’s study what the Bible has to say about Zion, understand its place in the plan of God and then share it with other people!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 4
Paul said he was a steward of the mysteries of God (v.1). He meant that God had revealed secrets, or His plans, to Paul through the Holy Spirit, and he had taught them to the church. In order to be a good steward, he had to be faithful to obey God’s commands (v.2). But, as a result of being God’s steward, Paul was judged by others who did not believe what he was teaching (v.3). But Paul’s conscience was clear (v.4), so he said he would wait for Jesus to come and judge him (v.4).
One of the mysteries of God is his endtime plans for Israel, the church and the world. As God reveals this mystery to us, we will become the stewards of God’s secrets, like Paul. Let us also share them with others, and even if people judge us because they don’t understand, let’s not get discouraged, but examine our hearts for sin and then look to Jesus to judge us according to his perfect will!
