Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 47

This psalm applied to King David’s rule in Israel, but I believe it also applies to the LDC! V.3-4 will be fulfilled in the LD through the LDR in every nation. God will give our nation (the souls of the nation) to us as an inheritance by subduing the people and nation under our feet!
Let’s believe and pray for this fulfillment in Japan through the LDC of Japan!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 3

In this chapter, Paul appeals for unity and an end to sectarianism (v.1-23). I believe Paul made a very important statement in v.10-11. Paul states that he laid the foundation of the Christian Church by the grace of God given to him as a wise master builder, and that foundation is Jesus Christ.
The other apostles and writers of the NT didn’t have the depth of revelation about Jesus, the church, salvation by grace and not by law, etc., that Paul had! Paul states that God made him the master builder of the church. And he fulfilled that role by laying the foundation of who Jesus was, what his work on the cross for mankind’s salvation meant and what God’s calling and plan for the church entailed!
Because Islam doesn’t accept Jesus as the divine Son of God and Savior of the world, it doesn’t accept Paul’s teachings as the Word of God! They believe Mohammed was the greatest human to ever live and accept his teachings as Allah’s word. By doing that, they have unleashed much warfare against non-Muslims, killing millions in the name of Allah. But Christians have also killed people, so we need to repent of those sins, too!
Let’s stand on the foundation that Paul laid for Christianity. Only then will we have the right understanding of who Jesus is.
