Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Tim 1
In v.6, Paul writes, “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” The truth of the laying on of hands was restored to the church in the 1948 Latter Rain Revival. There are 2 other Scriptures that are linked to v.6. They are:
1 Tim 4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
1 Tim 1:18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.
6) We need to stir up the gifts from time to time. How? By fasting, praying , attending seminars, etc.
7) We need to use the prophecies we received to do warfare against Satan who tries to discourage and stop us from fulfilling our calling.
8) If the eldership does not hear God’s voice but still gives the prophecy, or if the receiving believer is not adequately prepared, the prophecy may not be accurate. The overseeing pastor should always discern the prophecies and set aside those he/she does not have peace about.

Devotion 2 of 2: Hab 1
1) A. Habakkuk’s prayer (v.1-4): How long do I have to pray before you answer? There’s so much violence, plundering, strife, unlawfulness, and injustice! Wicked people are persecuting the good people!
B. Application: In the last days, we will sometimes feel that God is not answering our prayers, so we must learn to persevere in prayer! There will be much violence and sin and AC will persecute us (Rev 13:7)! But if we believe and pray, God will do miracles, protect us and even defeat AC’s forces until we complete our mission of world revival (Rev 11:5, 7)!
2) A: God’s answer (v.5-11): I am the one raising up dreadful Babylon. They are fierce and violent and will take over nations and gather captives.
B: Application: It is God who will allow AC to rise up and persecute the church! We should not think that Jesus will rescue us from AC through the rapture! But we will defeat AC until our goal of world evangelism and revival are accomplished, and then we will be martyred (Rev 11:5, 7)!
