Devotion 1 of 2: Heb 6

1) One of the core teachings of the Reformation was “The just shall live by faith!” (Rom 1:17). The reformers preached that neither penance nor rituals nor traditions nor obeying the Pope could save us, but only believing that Christ died for our sins!
2) The 3rd teaching is the doctrine of baptisms, which includes baptism of water, which was restored through the Baptist Movement and baptism of the Holy Spirit, which was restored through the Pentecostal Movement!
3) Through the Latter Rain Revival of 1948, the truth of the laying on of hands was restored. Included in that teaching are prophecy (1 Tim 1:18; 4:14), the 5-fold ministry gifts (1 Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6) and the impartation of Holy Spirit and ministry gifts through the laying on of hands (1 Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6).

Devotion 2 of 2: Jonah 3

When Jonah preached to Nineveh and warned them of the coming doom (v.4), an unbelievable thing happened! That wickedly cruel, pagan city of 120,000 repented, put on sackcloth and even fasted in response to Jonah’s message (v.5)! As a result, God did not destroy Nineveh (v.10)! What an encouragement for us in the last days! Let’s believe that whole cities will repent when we proclaim the gospel, and thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, will get saved!
