Devotion 1 of 2: Heb 4

The Jews didn’t enter the Promised Land because of unbelief (v.2-3) and disobedience (v.6, 11). This will apply to us as we enter the last days. Let’s believe the promises of God and obey the Holy Spirit so we can enter into the Last Day Revival, our Promised Land!

Devotion 2 of 2: Jonah 1

1) Assyria was a cruel conqueror who tortured and killed their enemies. They sometimes blinded or put a chain hook into the mouth or noses of their captives and led them to Assyria.
2) Scholars believe Tarshish was either in Spain or on the island of Sardinia in the Mediterranean Sea. In other words, it was the opposite direction (west) from Israel as Nineveh was (east). Jonah went there because he didn’t want to preach to Nineveh to save the Assyrians. Rather, he wanted God to punish them because they were bitter enemies of Israel!
