Devotion 1 of 2: Amos 2

In his prophecy to Judah, Amos says their lies led them astray (v.4). That happened because Judah despised God’s law and didn’t keep his commandments (v.4). Lies and deception are rampant today, and will be used by AC to make the world submit to him. Astonishingly, despite a political leader receiving 4 indictments and facing possible imprisonment because of his unceasing lies, tens of millions of his supporters still want him to be elected president of their country! Such is the power of deception! Let’s pray for right discernment so we will not be taken in by false information.

Devotion 2 of 2: John 16

1) The biggest advantage of the HS is that he can be everywhere at the same time and help all Christians around the world at the same time, while if Jesus were here, he could only be at one place and help only those people in that place at any one time!
2) I think one meaning is that “the little while” is 2000 years! After leaving, he will reappear 2000 years later to rapture his bride! Another possible meaning is that “the little while” is 10 days. After Jesus ascended to heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit 10 days later to carry on his ministry on the earth, so, in a sense, he returned through the Holy Spirit!
