Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Cor 9

1) We should give bountifully, and if we do, we will also reap bountifully (v.6)!
Testimony: Once I gave a worship offering of 10,000 yen, and a few days later, I received 100,000 yen as a gift from someone!
2) We should give cheerfully, not grudgingly or of necessity (v.7)!
Testimony: There was a time when I received a large gift of more than 1M yen! When I calculated the tithe, it came out to over 100,000 yen, so I thought, “That’s a large amount of money!” But then I remembered 2 Cor 9:7, so I prayed to God to help me give cheerfully and not grudgingly. God answered right away, and I could give the tithe out of a grateful and happy heart! PTL!

Devotion 2 of 2: Eccl 9

Solomon writes that death is an evil that happens to all (v.3) and a living dog is better than a dead lion (v.4). This is because he is thinking like a natural man without spiritual eyes or spiritual understanding. But the NT teaches us that to die is gain (Phili 1:21), and when we die, we are taken immediately to heaven, which is a fantastic, glorious place, far better than anything on earth (2 Cor 12:2-4)! Praise God for giving us spiritual understanding!
