Gen 22 question: How is the story of Abraham offering Isaac as a sacrifice in a picture of Calvary? Give 2 or 3 points, if possible. I found 10 points, but I'll only write 4 of them.
Answer: 1) v.2 Isaac was Abraham’s only son (God didn't recognize Ishmael, the fruit of the flesh!), whom he loved. Jesus was God’s only beloved Son.
2) v.2 Abraham offered Isaac on Mt. Moriah, which is where Jerusalem is, where Jesus was crucified.
3) v.4 It was a 3-day trip to Mt. Moriah. Jesus was buried for 3 days after dying on the cross.
4) v.6 Isaac had to carry the wood on which he was to be sacrificed on his back. Jesus carried the cross on His back.
