Devotion 1 of 2: Ex 1
One spiritual lesson we can learn from the Hebrew midwives in Egypt is that they feared God more than Pharaoh (v.17), so they disobeyed Pharaoh and obeyed God instead! As a result, God blessed them by giving them families of their own (v.21). This is an important lesson for the LDC because we will need to do the same thing! We must fear God more than antichrist and disobey antichrist’s command to take his mark and worship his image and obey God instead!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ex 2
Moses’ mother and sister saved Moses from being killed by Pharaoh and arranged for him to be raised as Pharaoh’s daughter’s son! One spiritual lesson I learned is that the courage and faith of a mother is a powerful influence in her children. Because she could nurse Moses for a few years, I believe she instilled in him his identity as a Jew and his calling as a deliverer for his people from slavery. So she not only saved Moses, but she also saved her whole nation from slavery by instilling in Moses his identity and calling!
