Devotion 1 of 2: 1 John 1
What an amazing privilege John and the other disciples had! They actually lived with, heard, saw, and even touched Jesus, the Son of God, the Word of Life (v.1)! No other generation in history will have the honor they had! But when we think about it, we are also living in an unbelievably privileged generation! We will actually see the full restoration of the church into what God has called and meant the church to be! It will be a glorious church without spot or wrinkle (Eph 5:27); a church of kings and priests (1 Pet 2:9); a church united like the Father and Son (John 17:21); a church which has grown to a perfect (fully matured) man, to the fullness of Christ (Eph 4:13); a church of true laborers in the harvest who will have power to preach the gospel, cast out demons, heal all sicknesses, cleanse lepers, and raise the dead (Matt 9:38; 10:1, 8); a church that will preach the gospel to the whole world (Matt 24:14); and a church that will reap an uncountable number of souls from every nation, tribe and language (Rev 7:9, 14)! Thank you, Lord, for this great honor! Help me to be faithful to you so I can fully fulfill my destiny!

Devotion 2 of 2: Prov 25
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter (v.2). What is this verse talking about? I believe one meaning is that God conceals his truths in the Bible, and because we’re called to be “a royal priesthood (1 Pet 2:9, “kings and priests” in the Japanese Bible), it’s our glory and even duty to search for those truths. This is especially true for the endtime. So we shouldn’t say, “It’s too hard or confusing to understand!” If it seems that way, it’s because God has made it that way! He concealed the truths to test us to see if we really want to learn or not, if we really have what it takes to become kings who will rule in the last days or not! Let’s not give up! Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to lead us into truth! Let’s believe that God will reveal to us the endtime truths he has concealed as we seek him!
