Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Kings 21
Manasseh was one of the worst kings in Judah’s history (v.11). He not only promoted idolatry, but built altars in the temple (v.4-5), burned his son as an offering, used fortune-telling, omens, mediums and necromancers (v.6), and set up an image of Asherah in the temple (v.7). All these, along with the other sins of Judah caused God to give them into the hands of their enemies who would wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish and taking the people captive (v.13-15). I want to be a watchman, calling the church to repentance and warning them of the coming persecutions of AC!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Kings 22
1) Josiah tore his clothes, realizing that because Judah had not obeyed the Law, God’s wrath would be great against them (v.11-13).
2) We should earnestly repent when we sin, realizing that sin brings consequences, but at the same time, also realizing that our God is gracious beyond measure!
