Devotion 1 of 2: Ezek 12
God wanted Ezekiel to go to exile in the daylight in 597 BC as a sign to Judah of what would happen to them in 586 BC. This had a positive and negative meaning. The positive was that Ezekiel became an example for others to follow to surrender to Babylon willingly. The negative was that he was showing the stubborn Jews what would forcibly happen to them as they would be massacred; then those remaining would be taken captive. As the LDC, we want to be an example to other believers, like Ezekiel was! Our example should be not to worship AC’s image or take his mark!

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 12
1) Because Jesus was breaking the many traditions the scribes had made about the Sabbath. No, he didn’t break the Sabbath law in the Scriptures; he only broke the traditional laws about the Sabbath that the scribes had made.
2) a) Because they had already seen many signs done by Jesus that were evidence that he was the Messiah.
b) When Jesus resurrected after 3 days, fulfilling Jonah’s sign, the priests made up a story about his disciples stealing the body (Matt 28:11-15). We must understand there are some people who will never believe, even if signs were done!
