Devotion 1 of 2: Acts 28
1) When Paul was bitten by a viper, the natives thought he was a murderer and would soon die (v.3-4). But Paul shook the viper off and suffered no ill effects, which changed the natives to thinking he was a god (v.5-6)! When Satan attacks us, we should shake him off and glorify God with no negative emotions. This can be a witness to many that following God is much better than the life they have!
2) In order to testify to Caesar and many people living there and to end his ministry at the capital of the greatest empire of that day.

Devotion 2 of 2: Jer 28
Mon, 3/27
Jer 28 sharing: Hananiah is an example of a false prophet who says what people want to happen will come to pass. He prophesied that God will break Babylon’s yoke within 2 years (v.2, 10-11), return the vessels of the temple within 2 years (v.3) and bring back their king and captives (v.4). But Jeremiah declared that it was a lie and that Hananiah would die within the year, and it happened (v16-17). This is another example of a false prophet saying what people want to hear, and it doesn’t come true. Also, Jeremiah is an example of speaking words of judgment and it happens. This is what the LDC will also do, as revealed by the 2 witnesses in Rev 11:5
