Devotion 1 of 2: Acts 11
1) It was causing Jewish believers to realize that God was saving Gentiles, also (v.18).
2) “Christian” meant “little Christ,” so it shows how the believers in Antioch were manifesting Jesus in their words and actions!
3) Because persecution scattered the disciples, and so more and more evangelism and church building happened outside of Jerusalem. Also, Antioch became the headquarters of Paul, and the latter half of Acts’ focus shifted to Paul’s ministry.

Devotion 2 of 2: Jer 11
When the people tried to kill Jeremiah (v.19), Jeremiah cried out to God (v.20), and the Lord declared he would punish them, and they would die by the sword and famine (v.22)! The LDC will also have the authority to judge those who try to harm us (Rev 11:5)!
