Devotion 2 of 2: Jer 7
Jeremiah warned Judah against trusting in lying words (v.4, 8 = fake news!), worshiping other gods (v.6, 9, 18), and sacrificing their children (v.31), etc. He said that if they didn’t repent, the Temple in Jerusalem would be abandoned as the Tabernacle of Moses at Shiloh was (v.12, 14) after the Philistines stole the Ark of the Covenant (1 Sam 4)! In the last days, we must learn to discern fake news and also don’t follow the gods (values) of this world, which often leads to us losing our children to those gods!
