Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Sam 21
1) Despite Israel having a peace treaty with the Gibeonites, Saul killed them (v.2).
2) Famine (v.1).
3) They asked for 7 descendants of Saul to be delivered to them so they could kill them for revenge (v.5-6).
4) Four (v.22).
5) David picked up 5 smooth stones in his battle against Goliath and needed only 1 stone to defeat Goliath, so 4 stones remained, and these symbolized the 4 remaining giants in Goliath’s family!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Sam 22
This is a psalm showing how God delivered David from his enemies. It can be applied to God giving victory to the LDC over our enemy, antichrist, in the endtime! If we trust in God as our strength, shield, stronghold and Savior, he will save us from violence (v.3)! And when we call upon the Lord and praise him, he will save us from our enemies (v.4)! What a wonderful psalm to life us up during the tribulation!
