From what Job says in v.1-22, Job thinks that God is the cause of his suffering, but that was a misunderstanding. It was actually Satan who was causing his suffering to try to get Job to curse God (1:11).

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 19
Jesus’ answer to the rich man’s question of what he had to do to get eternal life was to sell his possessions, give the money to the poor, and follow Jesus (21). But he couldn’t do it because he had great wealth (22). Through this, Jesus was showing him that he was breaking the 1st two commandments of having no other God and not worshiping idols. In other words, to the rich man his wealth was his god and idol, because he valued it more than the true God, Jesus!
