The Law does not oppose common sense and meeting people’s needs. Because David and his men were hungry, and there was no other bread available, they were allowed to eat the consecrated bread to meet their need.

1) Saul accused them of conspiring against him and helping David!
2) He answered David is loyal to Saul and highly respected.
3) He ordered them killed; Saul’s guards refused to do it, but Doeg did it.
4) The old denomination will often look at any member or pastor who shows sympathy to the new revival as dangerous and will often expel them from the group. This is needed if the new movement is in error, but if it is God’s work, they will oppose God, like the Pharisees opposed Jesus!
