Devotion 1 of 2: Job 15
One of Eliphaz’s statements of judgment against Job was v.20a: “All his days the wicked man suffers torment.” He is saying that Job was suffering torment because he was wicked! But he was totally wrong, because God said to Satan about Job in 1:8, “There is no one of earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil!”

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 15
Jesus didn’t show racial prejudice against her because in the end, He complemented her faith and healed her daughter (v.28)! The reason He didn’t respond to her request at the beginning was because He was obeying Father God and ministering primarily to the lost sheep of Israel (v.23-24). Also, He used the word “dogs” in referring to her (a Canaanite Gentile) because that was how the Jews of Bible days talked about Gentiles.
