Devotion 1 of 2: John 21
Thomas, the doubting disciple, was also known as Didymus (v.2)! Didymus meant “twin,” which signifies that Thomas had a twin brother! But he wasn’t chosen by Jesus to become one of the disciples! Why not? No one knows because it’s not recorded in the Bible, but it may have been that, like Thomas, his brother had a lot of doubts that, unlike Thomas, he could not overcome! Having doubts itself is not wrong, but if God speaks to you and you still cannot overcome your doubts, you may become like Israel, who couldn’t enter the Promised Land! Lord, help us to overcome our doubts by believing and accepting your Word! Help us to believe your promises of revival to the LDC!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 99
What verses in this psalm can be applied to RRV? V.1 says God is enthroned between the cherubim. This refers to the Mercy Seat above the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies (HOH) in Moses’ Tabernacle (MT). And v.7 says God spoke to Israel from the pillar of cloud, which symbolized God’s glory and presence, and also appeared between the cherubim in the HOH. The early church operated in the HOH, where God’s power and anointing was, but compromise caused them to gradually be moved to the Holy Place (HP), then to the Outer Court (OC), and finally to outside MT, which meant they had lost salvation, which is what happened when they sold indulgences for forgiveness of sins!
But God’s plan is to restore the church! The 1st step was the Reformation in 1517, which brought the church back into the OC. The 2nd step was the Azusa St. Revival in 1906 to move the church into the HP! And the 3rd step will be happening in the near future to restore the church to the HOH, where God is enthroned, his voice is heard, and his glory, presence and power are manifested! And that’s when the nations will tremble, the earth will shake (v.1), God will be exalted over all the nations (v.2), and revival will come to the world!
