Devotion 1 of 2: John 15
Verse 13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Jesus demonstrated this love when he died for us on the cross! Judah also demonstrated this love when he was willing to become a slave to save his brother, Benjamin, in Gen 44:33. That was one reason why he was chosen to become the tribe that would bring both David and Jesus into the world!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 93
The last part of v.1 says, “…indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.” The world being firm and secure was true for much of history, but over the past 150 years, since the industrial revolution, man has been destroying the earth through air, water and land pollution; deforestation; global warming; depleting natural resources; etc. So, to make the earth firm and secure again, Jesus will need to reign for 1000 years over the planet after his 2nd coming and use his followers to cleanse and heal the planet and make it into a Garden of Eden!
