Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Pet 4
Some problems in the second chance advocates’ interpretation of v.6 is that the gospel was not preached to human souls, or to all who had died, but to spirits from Noah’s age (3:19-20). So it’s not teaching a second chance for salvation to all mankind, but a way for the “trapped” spirits of people from Noah’s age to be set free to return to God! And v.6 says they were judged in their bodies, which I believe means judged for their sins, and lived according to God in the spirit, which means their spirits were released from prison and could return to God (Eccl 12:7)!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 73
In v.17, David says when he entered God’s sanctuary, he finally understood the final end of the wicked. He realized they will eventually be destroyed (v.19), so his past bitter emotions were based on ignorance (v.21-22). When we enter God’s presence, we will gain understanding and be glad for what we have in the Lord!
