Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 22
The eastern tribes (ET) built an altar by the Jordan River (v.10). The western tribes (WT) heard about it (v.11) and decided to go to war against them (v.12). The WT sent a delegation to voice their anger (v.13-20). The ET explained that they built it not for sacrifices but to be a witness that they serve the same God as the WT (v.28). This open discussion was able to solve the conflict (v.32-33). We can apply this to our conflicts by realizing that negative and critical thinking escalates tensions while open, positive discussions work to resolve issues.
