Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Cor 1
Preaching Christ crucified is a stumbling block to Jews because they were the ones who demanded Jesus be crucified, and it’s foolishness to Gentiles because the story of the cross is directed toward the heart, not the brain.

Devotion 2 of 2: Deut 33
Levi did what is written in Deut 33:9 at Mt. Sinai, where Israel got the 10 Commandments. According to Ex 32:25-29, Levi obeyed God’s orders and took their swords and killed 3000 people who had worshiped the golden calf, even if they were family, friend or neighbor!
