Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 53
The 1st 5 verses of this psalm speak about the foolishness of people who deny God’s existence and the corruption that mindset produces. V.1 says, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.”
The 6th and last verse describes the restoration of Israel. Restoration is one of the great themes of Scripture. We can see that theme in how God deals with mankind, Israel and the church. Let’s study the Bible to understand this important theme.

この詩篇の最初の5節は、神の存在を否定する人々の愚かさと、その考え方が生み出す汚れについて語っている。第1節には、「愚か者は心の中で『神はいない』と言う。彼らは腐っている。忌まわしい不正を行っている。善を行う者はいない」とある。

Devotion 2 of 2: Gal 5
V.16 says, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” We want to walk in the Spirit every day. But I experienced a very special high level of walking in the Spirit 2 times in my life: when I was saved and when I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Both times, I felt God was so real and close to me. I felt like I was in heaven and I didn’t want anything unclean to enter that space. I believe that even if someone had slapped my face, I would have done what Jesus commanded—offer that person my other cheek! Let’s seek to walk in the Spirit in daily life!

16節には、「御霊によって歩みなさい。そうすれば、肉の欲望を満たすことは決してありません」とある。私たちは日々、御霊によって歩むことを願っている。しかし、実は、私は人生で2回、非常に特別な高水準の御霊による歩みを体験したことがある。それは、救われた時と、聖霊のバプテスマを受けた時だった。
その両方の時、私は神がとてもリアルで近くにおられると感じた。まるで天国にいるようで、その領域に汚れたものが一切入ってきてほしくないと感じた。もし誰かに頬をぶたれたとしても、イエスが命じられた通り、その人に反対側の頬をも向けただろうと思うほどである。日常生活の中で、御霊によって歩むことを追い求めていこう。
