Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 52
V.2 says, “Your tongue devises destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.” Jesus warned that deceit would strongly influence the world in the endtime (Matt 24:4-5). Even now, deceit, or fraud, or fake news, is rampant in politics, business and news broadcasts.
But what does it produce? V.2 lists destruction and working like a sharp razor. A razor cuts and causes much sharp pain, like when a spouse is deceived and cheated on, he/she goes through unbearable suffering, and the marriage is destroyed! Let’s never deceive others, and let’s guard against deceit in the LD!

2節には「おまえの舌は破滅を図っている。さながら鋭い刃物のようだ。欺く者よ」とある。イエスは、世の終わりに惑わしが世界を強く影響するようになると警告された（マタイ24:4-5）。現在でさえ、政治、ビジネス、ニュース報道などにおいて、欺きや詐欺、フェイクニュースが横行している。
しかし、それは何を生み出すのだろうか。2節は「破滅」や「鋭い刃物」や「欺き」を挙げている。刃物は深く傷つけ、激しい痛みをもたらす。例えば、配偶者が欺かれ浮気をされたとき、痛烈な苦しみを経験し、結婚生活が破壊されるようなものである。私たちは決して他者を欺いてはならない。また、終末の日に惑わしに対して警戒しよう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Gal 4
This chapter continues to contrast slaves and sons (v.1-7), bondwoman and freewoman, flesh and promise, Mt. Sinai and Jerusalem, Hagar and Sarah, old and new covenants, Ishmael and Isaac and flesh and spirit (v.21-31)! Christ came to fulfill the Law; thereby redeeming mankind from the Law and making us children of God (v.4-5)!
One interesting verse is 25: “…this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia…” Mt. Sinai in Arabia? I had always pictured Sinai as being in the Sinai Peninsula, which is part of Egypt! Some people claim they’ve found Sinai in Arabia! Which is right? Let’s study more!
デボーション2/2：ガラ4章
本章では引き続き、奴隷と子（相続人）（1-7節）、女奴隷と自由の女、肉と約束、シナイ山とエルサレム、ハガルとサラ、古い契約と新しい契約、イシュマエルとイサク、そして肉と御霊（21-31節）の対比がなされている。キリストは律法を成就するために来られ、それによって人類を律法から贖い出し、神の子としてくださったのである（4-5節）。
興味深い節の一つが25節である。「このハガルは、アラビアにあるシナイ山のこと…」。アラビアにあるシナイ山だろうか。シナイ山は常にエジプトの一部であるシナイ半島にあるイメージを私は持っていたのである。アラビアでシナイ山を発見したと主張する人々もいる。どちらが正しいのだろうか。さらに研究しよう。
