Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 21
I would like to apply v.16 to the endtime believers. It says, “A man who wanders from the way of understanding will rest in the assembly of the dead.” The Jews were an example of this verse two times.
The 1st time, they didn’t understand God’s promise of giving them Canaan, so they went back and died in the wilderness. The 2nd time, they didn’t understand the Messiah would come as the Passover Lamb, so they rejected Jesus and, 40 years later, were crushed by Rome. Let’s not follow the Jews but rather, let’s understand God’s plan for the LD!

私は16節を終わりの日の信者に当てはめたい。そこには、「悟りの道から迷い出る者は、死者の集まりの中に憩う」とある（16節）。この御言葉の実例がユダヤ人には二度あった。
一度目は、神がカナンの地を与えるという約束を理解しなかったため、引き返して荒野で死んだ時である。二度目は、メシアが過越の小羊として来ることを理解しなかったため、イエスを拒み、その40年後にローマによって滅ぼされた時である。私たちはユダヤ人のようになるのではなく、終わりの日に関する神のご計画を理解しよう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 8
In v.4-8, Jesus tells the famous parable of the sower. In v.9-10, the disciples ask what the parable meant, and Jesus explains that it was a mystery of God given to some to understand, but to others, it was a parable so they would not be able to understand. Then in v.11-15, Jesus explains the parable to the disciples.
This passage applies to the Jews, as I wrote in Prov 21. It also applies to the LDC because God’s plan to restore the church in the endtime is another mystery, or enigma, that is hidden in parables. Let’s seek God so we can understand it!

4-8節で、イエスは有名な種まきのたとえを語る。9-10節で弟子たちはそのたとえの意味を尋ねると、イエスは、それはある人には理解することが許された神の奥義であるが、ほかの人には理解できないようにたとえで語るのである、と説明する。そして11-15節で、イエスはそのたとえの意味を弟子たちに解き明かす。
この箇所は、箴21章で書いたように、ユダヤ人に当てはまる。また、終末に教会を回復する神のご計画も、たとえの中に隠されたもう一つの奥義、すなわち謎であるため、終末教会にも当てはまる。私たちも神を求め、そのご計画を理解しよう。
