In v.1, the end of every 7 years is the time for canceling debts. When we walk with Jesus, we are always living at the end of 7 years because we should always be canceling debts or forgiving people for bad things they may do to us

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 15
When I read v.16-20, describing the Roman soldiers putting a crown of thorns on Jesus, mocking him by saying, “Hail, King of the Jews,” striking him head with a staff, spitting on him, and mocking again by fall on their knees, I feel so humbled by what Jesus did for me to provide my forgiveness! This motivates me to live for him even more, and also to forgive others for anything bad they might do to me because of what Jesus went through for me!
