Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 14
I have studied Proverbs for many years to find wisdom to live a righteous life and avoid a wicked one. This year I’m studying its wisdom as it applies to understanding God’s enigma (1:5-6) or plan for the endtime.
V.6 says, “A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, but knowledge is easy to him who understands.” In endtime application, this means that if we seek wisdom but mock God’s way of giving it to us through understanding His enigmas hidden in the Word, then we won’t find it! But if we understand God’s enigmas, we will find knowledge!
デボーション1/2：箴言14章
私は長年、箴言を学び、正しい人生を歩み、悪い道を避けるための知恵を求めてきた。今年は、その知恵を、神の謎（箴1:5-6）、すなわち神の終末の計画を理解するという観点から学んでいる。
6節はこう語る。「あざける者は知恵を求めても得られない。しかし、悟りのある者には知識は得やすい。」（新改訳2017）。終末への適用： もし知恵を求めながらも、御言葉の中に隠された神の謎を理解することによって知恵を与えるという神の方法をあざけるなら、その知恵を見いだすことはできない。しかし、神の謎を理解するなら、知識を得ることができる。
Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 1
Dr. Luke wrote an orderly, first-hand account about Jesus to Theophilus, an unknown person with a high rank and a Greek name, in order to assure him that what he had heard about Jesus was true (v.1-4).
Luke writes about the births of John the Baptist and Jesus. In v.17a he writes about John, “He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah…” Let’s understand endtime prophecies about Elijah because they are key to understanding God’s plan for the last days!

ルカは、イエスについて聞いたことが真実であるとテオフィロに確信してもらうために、順序立てて、目撃者たちから伝えられた確かな記録を書いた。テオフィロは高い身分の人であり、ギリシャ名を持つ人物であったが、その詳しいことは分かっていない（1-4節）。
ルカは、バプテスマのヨハネとイエスの誕生について記す。17節前半ではヨハネについて、「彼はエリヤの霊と力で主の前に先立って行く。」（新改訳2017）と書く。エリヤに関する終末の預言は終わりの日における神のご計画を理解する鍵であるので、それらの預言を理解できるよう学びをしよう。
