Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 10
V.14 compares the wise and foolish, “Wise people store up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.” In 1:5-6, the wise are those who understand God’s enigmas or mysteries, like the Messiah or the restoration of the church, and store up that knowledge. Sadly, the foolish deny God’s enigmas and are destroyed.
V.30 also compares the righteous and wicked, “The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not inhabit the earth.” The righteous will remain and rule the earth during the Millennium, but the wicked won’t inhabit the earth ever again.

14節は知恵ある者と愚かな者を比較し、「知恵のある者は知識をたくわえ、愚か者の口は滅びに近い」とある。1章5-6節によれば、知恵ある者とは、メシアや教会の回復のような神の謎、すなわち奥義を理解し、その知識を蓄える者である。残念ながら、愚かな者は神の奥義を否定し、その結果、滅びに至る。
30節もまた、正しい者と悪者を比較し、「正しい者はいつまでも動かされない。しかし悪者はこの地に住みつくことができない」とある。正しい者は千年王国の間、地に残ってイエスと共に地を治める。しかし、悪しき者は二度と地に住むことはない。
Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Cor 10
Paul seemed to have been weak physically and in speech because he writes in v.10, “For his letters,” they (Paul’s critics) say, “are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.”
But, still, Paul was probably the Christian who contributed more than anyone else to the kingdom of God on earth because he realized he had spiritual weapons to fight and win a spiritual war (v.3-4). So, let’s not look down on ourselves for what we lack in the physical, but, rather, let’s grow spiritually to influence the world for Christ!

パウロは肉体的にも話し方においても弱かったようである。なぜなら、10節で「彼ら（パウロの批判者達）は言います。『パウロの手紙は重みがあって力強いが、実際に会った場合の彼は弱々しく、その話しぶりは、なっていない。」」と書いているからである。
しかし、それでもパウロは、おそらく地上で神の御国のために、だれよりも大きく貢献したクリスチャンであった。なぜなら、彼は霊の戦いに勝利するための霊的な武器を持っていることを理解していたからである（3-4節）。だから、自分の肉体的な弱さや欠けを見て自分を見下すのではなく、むしろ霊的に成長し、キリストのためにこの世界に影響を与える者となろう！
