Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 45
This is a powerful Messianic psalm. V.6-7 are quoted in Heb 1:8-9 as words spoken by Father God to Jesus, the Son of God! This is a good Scripture to show Muslims and other skeptics as proof of Jesus’ deity because the Father calls Jesus “God,” in v.6, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever…”
The church is described as Jesus’ queen in v.9b, “At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir.” Ophir is a legendary land, location unknown, famous for its great wealth and fine gold. Let’s be that golden church!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 13
This chapter is called the Love Chapter. It is sandwiched between the Power Chapter and Divine Order Chapter to illustrate the necessary balance that God wants the church to have according to 2 Tim 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (that obeys divine order)”.
Some scholars claim that this chapter is the most important of the triad and is like the hamburger in the middle of the hamburger bun! As v.2 says although I have faith to remove mountains, without love, I am nothing!
