Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 44
This psalm is not simple, but complicated, as it talks of victory (v.1-6) and defeat (v.10-16), of being saved by God (v.7-8) and also of being cast off and put to shame by God (v.9)! But this psalm is probably an honest picture of what our lives look like when we are trying to follow God but don’t understand His plans and purposes.
The disciples were like that when Jesus was arrested. They were confused, afraid and thought God had abandoned them because they didn’t understand God’s plan for the cross. Let’s seek to know our God deeper!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 12
This chapter is about the 9 gifts of the Spirit (v.8-10), which all believers who receive the baptism of the Spirit can begin to exercise. But, in reality, except for a few powerful ministers, very few of us are actively using them.
Why not? I believe the reason is because it’s not the right time yet. I believe the right time will be when the LDR begins. That’s when we will be filled anew by the Spirit, transformed more into Jesus’ likeness and enter into the Promised Land, where all of God’s promises to us are all fulfilled. Let’s believe we’ll use these Holy Spirit gifts!
