Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 37
The words “inherit” and “inheritance” appear 6 times in this psalm in v.9, 11, 18, 22, 29 and 34. These words were used to refer to Israel entering the Promised Land, which is a parable of the church entering the LDR and also the Millennium, so let’s see how they apply to the church.
Those who inherit the earth or the land will be those who wait on the Lord (v.9, 34), the meek (v.11), the upright (v.18), those blessed by God (v.22), and the righteous (v.29). Let’s be the people described by these verses as we seek for revival!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 5
V.9 says, “I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.” How should we deal with serious sins in church? Matt 18:15-17 instructs us to deal individually, then with 2 or 3, and, if the person doesn’t repent, openly with the whole church. The reason is to cut off unrepented sin and keep the church pure.
But in today’s world, we need wisdom. One church handled an adulterer the Matt 18 way. But he sued the church and won, and the church had to pay a large sum for damages. We need to follow both the Bible and society’s laws.
6/13（土）1コリ5章（デボーション2）
9節には、「私は・・・不品行な者たちと交際しないようにと書きました」とあります。教会で重大な罪を犯した者には、どのように対処すべきでしょうか。マタイ18:15-17は、まず一人ずつ、次に二人か三人で対処し、それでも悔い改めない場合は、教会全体に公に告げるようにと教えています。これは、悔い改めない罪を断ち切り、教会を清く保つためです。
しかし、現代社会では、知恵が必要です。ある教会は、姦通を犯した者をマタイ18に従って対処しました。しかし、その者は教会を訴え、勝訴したため、教会は多額の損害賠償金を支払わされました。聖書と社会の法律の両方に従う必要があるのです。
