Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 26
This is a deeply meaningful psalm which shows us the strength of a life lived with truth and integrity. David says he walked in integrity and truth (v.1, 3) and did not walk with hypocrites nor sit with the wicked (v.4-5).
Because of that, David had a clean conscience and could boldly ask the Lord to vindicate and prove him (v.1-2). Let’s seek the Lord so we, too, like David can live a clean, pure life of integrity!

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 10
The 3 chapters of Rom 9-11 all concern Israel and the complex subject of God’s sovereignty and man’s free will. Rom 9 and 11 emphasize God’s sovereignty and Rom 10 emphasizes man’s free will. While seemingly contradictory, these 2 doctrines are like 2 sides of the same coin—they look different but are part of the same coin!
“…whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (v.13) is the model verse for the doctrine of man’s free will to choose salvation. So, while God does rule over all, it’s also good to see that man can choose, too.
