Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 9

Moses is trying to teach Israel that they will conquer the Canaanites and possess the Promised Land, not because of their righteousness (v.4-6), but because of God’s mercy, so they will not become proud and forsake God! The same is true for the church. God is restoring us into a glorious revival church, not because we are great, but because of his grace! Let’s not forget that and become proud!

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 9

In Mark 9:1, Jesus said the Mt. of Transfiguration (Moses and Elijah appearing with Jesus) would be a demonstration of the kingdom of God coming with power! Elijah and Moses also appear as the 2 witnesses of Rev. 11 in the last days by stopping the rain as Elijah did and by turning water to blood and causing many other plagues as Moses did (Rev 11:6). They are not 2 individuals but the saints of the LDC! We can say that because Rev. 11:7 says the beast (antichrist) will kill the 2 witnesses and Rev. 13:7 says the beast will kill the saints, showing the 2 witnesses and the saints of the LDC are the same! But before they’re killed, the 2 witnesses will minister for 3.5 years, and although antichrist will persecute them, they will execute judgment on their enemies until they complete their testimony (witnessing to the world – Matt. 24:14). This is how a world-wide revival in which perhaps hundreds of millions or over 1B people will be saved (Rev. 7:9, 14)! This is what the kingdom of God coming with power will be like in the last days!
