Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 20
This chapter describes the penalties for breaking various laws in Israel. V.3-4 deal with the sin of giving descendants (children) to Molech, a pagan god in Canaan.
Canaanite tribes sacrificed their children to idols. Partly because of this sin, the Canaanites lost their land, and God gave it to Israel. But when Israel also adopted this same sin, they lost the land to Assyria and Babylon.
Endtime application: 1 reason why God will end this world age and set up the Millennial Kingdom is abortion.

この章は、イスラエルの様々な律法違反の罰について述べています。3～4節は、カナンの異教の神モレクに子孫を捧げる罪について触れています。
カナンの住民は子供たちをいけにえとして偶像に捧げていました。この罪が一因となり、彼らは地を失い、神はそれをイスラエルに与えたのです。しかし、イスラエルも同じ罪を犯したため、アッシリアとバビロンに地を奪われてしまいました。

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 20
This chapter relates the ending part of Paul’s 2nd missionary journey—from Macedonia to Troas to Miletus and finally, to Jerusalem (21:15). Eutychus, a young man, fell from the 3rd story and died, but Paul raised him back from the dead (v.9-12). I believe Paul had that kind of faith because he, too, had been revived (14:19-20)!
In Matt 9:38, Jesus said to pray for harvest workers. Then He showed what kind of workers He meant in 10:7-8, “Preach gospel, heal sick, cleanse lepers, raise dead, cast out demons!” Let’s be this kind of harvest worker!

この章では、パウロの第二宣教旅行の終盤、マケドニアからトロアス、ミレトスを経て、ついにエルサレム(21:15)へと至る道のりが描かれています。若いユテコは三階から落ちて死んでしまいましたが、パウロは彼を生き返らせました（9-12節）。パウロ自身も生き返った経験があったからこそ、このような信仰を持っていたと信じます（14:19-20）。
マタイ9:38で、イエスは収穫の働き手のために祈りなさいと言われました。そして10:7-8で、どんな働き手かを示しました。福音を伝え、病人を癒し、死人を生き返らせ、ライ病人を清め、悪霊を追い出すような働き手になりましょう！
