Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 4
This chapter describes the 4th offering, the sin offering, which was for unintentional sins (v.2). The kind of animal offered was determined by the person who sinned. For priests and the congregation, it was a bull (v.3, 14); for a ruler, it was a male goat kid (v.23); for a common person, it was a female goat kid or female lamb (v.28, 32).
Luke 12:48 says that to whom much is given, much will be required, and James 3:1 says that teachers will receive a stricter judgment. As we grow in the Lord, let’s remember that we also bear a greater responsibility!

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 4
The healing of the lame man in chapter 3 caused a huge uproar, resulting in 5000 getting saved (v.4)! But there was another reaction to this miracle. It was by the rulers, elders, scribes and high priest (v.5-6). They refused to accept the healing and commanded the disciples to never preach in the name of Jesus (v.17)!
But the disciples refused for two reasons: Because they had to listen to God more than man (v.19), and because they couldn’t help but speak of the miracles they had experienced (v.20). Let’s have the same faith!
