Devotion 1 of 2: Gen 23
This chapter shows Abraham buying a burial site for his beloved wife Sarah. The people of that area offered to give him a site, but Abraham insisted on paying for it (v.10-16). By doing that Abraham showed how much he valued and loved Sarah!
The church has a gravesite at Minami Tama Cemetery in Hachioji City. I think it is a nice burial site, showing our respect and love to our senior members who have gone to heaven before us. Let’s maintain this burial site as a testimony of our love to one another!

Devotion 2 of 2: Gen 24
This chapter tells the story of how Abraham’s servant found a bride for Isaac. This is a beautiful parable of the Father, Holy Spirit, Jesus and His bride, the church. We want to learn through Rebecca how to become the bride.
The servant was sent to Abraham’s home country to look for Isaac’s bride. The servant looked for a woman who would serve him and also his camels water to drink (v.14). Rebecca fit that description perfectly as she ran to the well, quickly got the water, and humbly watered the remaining camels! Let’s willingly serve one another!
