Devotion 1 of 2: Mal 1
Malachi was the last OT prophet, ministering around 420 BC. After Malachi, there was a 400-year blank in which God’s Word was not heard until John the Baptist in the NT.
Malachi answers 2 important questions in this chapter. 1) How does God show His love for us (v.1-5)? And 2) How can we show our love to God (v.6-14)?
God showed His love for Jacob by blessing him, which He didn’t do for Esau (v.3-4). In the same way, today we understand God loves us because He has given us eternal life. By contrast, unbelievers will only receive eternal darkness!
Through every struggle in life, let’s never doubt God loves us because He gave us His Son Jesus and the gift of eternal life!

マラキは旧約聖書最後の預言者で、紀元前420年頃に宣教しました。マラキの後、新約聖書のバプテスマのヨハネが登場するまで、神の言葉が語られることのなかった400年間の空白がありました。
マラキはこの章で2つの重要な問いに答えています。1) 神はどのように私たちへの愛を示されますか（1-5節）？ 2) 私たちはどのように神への愛を示すことができますか（6-14節）？
神はヤコブへの愛を祝福によって示されましたが、エサウにはそうしませんでした（3-4節）。同様に、今日私たちは神が私たちを愛しているのは、イエス様と永遠の命を与えてくださったからです。対照的に、未信者は永遠の闇しか受けません！
人生のあらゆる苦難を通して、神が御子イエスと永遠の命という賜物を与えてくださったからこそ、私たちを愛してくださっていることを決して疑わないようにしましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Rev 19
This chapter contains the marriage of the Lamb, Jesus’ 2nd coming and the end of the Battle of Armageddon.
Marriage: V.7b says, “…the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” This shows
Jesus will come for a spiritually mature bride who has made herself ready, not for an immature, weak church!
2nd coming: Jesus will return when the Jews call upon Him to save them from annihilation by AC! 2/3 of the Jews will be killed, and only the remaining 1/3 will be saved. When Jesus defeats AC at Armageddon, He will tread the winepress of God’s wrath (v.15). This symbolizes the spiritual fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles.
End of Armageddon: The armies in heaven in v.14 will come with Jesus to battle AC’s forces. They are the believers who died, went to heaven and will return with Christ to defeat AC and rule with Jesus (v.19-20).

この章には、小羊の結婚、イエスの再臨、そしてハルマゲドンの戦いの終結が記されています。
結婚：7節後半には、「小羊の婚姻の時が来て、花嫁はその用意ができたのだから」とあります。これは、イエスは、霊的に成熟し、用意ができた花嫁のために来られるのであって、未熟で弱い教会のためではないことを示しています。
再臨：ユダヤ人が、反キによる滅亡から救いを求めてイエスに祈るとき、イエスは再臨されます。ユダヤ人の3分の2は殺され、残りの3分の1だけが救われます。イエスがハルマゲドンで反キの勢力を打ち破るとき、イエスは神の怒りの酒ぶねを踏みます（15節）。これは仮庵の祭りの霊的な成就を象徴しています。
ハルマゲドンの終結：14節に記されている天の軍勢がイエスと共に来られ、反キの軍勢と戦います。彼らは信者達で、死んで天国に行き、キリストの再臨の時、共に戻って反キを倒しイエスと共に支配する信者たちです（19-20節）。
