Devotion 1 of 2: Zeph 3
This chapter is divided into 2 parts: judgment (v.1-7) and blessing (v.8-20). The judgment is against a city (Jerusalem) for her rebellion (v.1). The blessing is for the remnant of Israel (v.13) because they will trust in the name of the Lord (v.12).
Endtime application: Israel is and will continue to be in rebellion to God until AC invades their nation, and 2/3 of the Jewish people are killed in Armageddon (Zech 13:8). This will break their resistance, and the remaining 1/3 will call upon the Lord and be saved (Zech 13:9). This will be the remnant who are restored to God.
Let’s pray for God’s plan to restore Israel be fulfilled and the remnant be saved!

この章は、裁き（1-7節）と祝福（8-20節）の2つの部分に分かれています。裁きは、ある町（エルサレム）の反逆に対するものです（1節）。祝福は、イスラエルの残りの民に対するものです（13節）。なぜなら、彼らは主の御名に身を避けるからです（12節）。
終末への適用： イスラエルは、反キが侵攻して、そして、ユダヤ人の3分の2がハルマゲドンの戦いで殺されるまで、神への反抗を続けます（ゼカリヤ書13:8）。これにより彼らの抵抗は打ち砕かれ、残りの3分の1は主に呼び求めて救われます（ゼカリヤ書13:9）。これが神のもとに回復される残りの民です。
イスラエルを回復するという神の計画が成就し、残りの民が救われるように祈りましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Rev 2
Chapters 2 and 3 are about 7 churches, which symbolize 7 ages in church history. The 1st church is Ephesus (v.1-7), the Apostolic Church (30-100 AD). Jesus praised them but pointed out one flaw—leaving their first love!
The 2nd church is Smyrna (v.8-11), the Persecuted Church (100-300 AD). This church went through heavy persecution from Rome. Jesus gave no reprimand but only encouraged them to be faithful in suffering till death.
The 3rd church is Pergamos (v.12-17), the Compromising Church (300-500 AD). Twice Jesus warns them about dwelling where Satan’s throne is or where Satan dwells, a reference to becoming the state church of Rome.
The 4th church is Thyatira (v.18-29), the Dark Ages Church (500-1500). Jesus rebukes Jezebel who induced sexual immorality and eating food given to idols. This church prayed much to idols and had many immoral scandals.

第2章と第3章は、教会史の7つの時代を象徴する7つの教会について述べています。第一の教会はエペソ（1-7節）、つまり、使徒教会（西暦30-100年）です。イエスは彼らを称賛されましたが、一つの欠点、すなわち初めの愛から離れたことを指摘されました。
第二の教会はスミルナ（8-11節）、迫害された教会（西暦100-300年）です。この教会はローマから激しい迫害を受けました。イエスは彼らを叱責することなく、死に至るまで苦しみに耐えて忠実であり続けるよう励ましました。
第三の教会はペルガモ（12-17節）、妥協の教会（西暦300-500年）です。イエスは彼らに、サタンの王座がある場所、あるいはサタンが宿る場所に住むことについて二度警告しています。これは、彼らがローマの国教会となることを示唆しています。
第4の教会はテアテラ（18-29節）、暗黒時代の教会（500-1500年）です。イエスは、性的不道徳を助長し、偶像に捧げられた食物を食べさせたイゼベルを叱責しました。この教会は偶像に多くの祈りを捧げ、多くの不道徳なスキャンダルを抱えていました。
