Devotion 1 of 2: Hos 1
This book contains one of the great love stories of the Bible! God wanted Hosea’s marriage to be a picture of God’s relationship with Israel, His bride. So, God told Hosea to marry Gomer, a promiscuous woman (v.2-3).
She bore 3 children (v.3-9), whose names meant “punish,” “not loved,” and “not my people.” Their names show they were not Hosea's.
Did Hosea really love Gomer, or did he marry her only because God commanded him to? I believe he really loved her and through that love, he changed her from an unfaithful, broken woman into a beautiful, happy wife!

この書簡には、聖書の中でも最も偉大な愛の物語の一つが記されています。神はホセアの結婚を、花嫁であるイスラエルと神との関係を象徴するものとされたのです。そこで神はホセアに、姦淫の女ゴメルと結婚するように命じました（2-3節）。
彼女は3人の子供を産みました（3-9節）。彼らの名前は「罰する」「愛されない」「私の民ではない」という意味で、ホセアの子ではありませんでした。
ホセアは本当にゴメルを愛していたのでしょうか、それとも神の命令で結婚しただけだったのでしょうか。私は、ホセアは本当にゴメルを愛し、その愛を通して、不貞で傷ついた彼女を美しく幸せな妻に変えたのだと信じています。
Devotion 2 of 2: John 1
John the Baptist was a type of the LDC. John prepared the way for Jesus’ 1st coming; the LDC will prepare the way for Jesus’ rapture coming. Let’s observe and learn from John.
The Jewish leaders asked John whether he was the Messiah, Elijah or the Prophet (v.19-21), but he answered “No.” So John was humble and only wanted to elevate Jesus. This humility will be needful for the LDC! Another evidence of John’s humility was that he said he was not worthy to untie Jesus’ sandals (v.27)!
John used water baptism to reveal Jesus to the people (v.31), but the LDC will use miracles!
John pointed 2 of his disciples to Jesus, and they left him and followed Jesus (v.35-37). John didn’t gather people to himself but connected them to Jesus! This is what we must do, too! Not build up our ministry, but Jesus!

バプテスマのヨハネは終末教会の典型でした。ヨハネはイエスの初臨の道を備えました。終末教会はイエスの携挙の来臨の道を備えます。ヨハネから学びましょう。
ユダヤ人の指導者たちはヨハネに、あなたがメシアなのか、エリヤなのか、それともあの預言者なのか尋ねました（19-21節）。しかし、ヨハネは「いいえ」と答えたのです。また、27節で自分はイエスの靴の紐を解く値打ちさえないと言いました。というのは、ヨハネは謙虚で、イエスを高めることだけを望んでいました。この謙虚さは終末教会にとって必要不可欠です！
ヨハネは洗礼を用いて（31節）、イエスを人々に明らかにしましたが、終末教は奇跡の御業を用います！
ヨハネは二人の弟子をイエスのもとに導きました。すると彼らはヨハネのもとを離れ、イエスに従いました（35-37節）。ヨハネは人々を自分のもとに集めたのではなく、イエスに結びつけました。私たちもそうしましょう！自分のミニストリーではなく、イエスを築き上げましょう！
