Devotion 1 of 2: Eccl 7
V. 26 says, “And I find more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God shall escape from her, but the sinner shall be trapped by her.” Also, v.28 says, “One man among a thousand I have found, but a woman among all these I have not found.”
I think the above verses encapsulates Solomon’s marriage life! He had 700 wives and 300 concubines (1 Ki 11:3)! But instead of happiness, he experienced bitterness and fighting! His wives used snares, nets and fetters, always trying to trap him! I think he probably worshiped their pagan idols to try to appease them!
And he sadly utters, he didn’t find even one woman with whom he had a good relationship! Of course, the reason was because he married 1000 women! I thank God I have only wife, and she’s my best friend!
Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Cor 7
In 1 Cor 5, Paul corrected the Corinth Church’s wrong handling of the immoral man in their midst. We see in 2 Cor 2, the church responded by sincerely repenting and changing, resulting in the man’s transformation. In v.8, Paul says he was sorry for his strong 1st letter, but he didn’t regret writing it because of the good results (v.8-12)!
I believe the pre-trib rapture teaching will cause millions of Christians to stumble when it doesn’t happen, and they have to face AC’s persecutions! They will not be prepared, so many will compromise to save their lives. They will worship AC’s image, but they will lose their souls and be judged with AC (Rev 14:9-11)!
Eze 33:6 tells us if we see the enemy coming but don’t blow the trumpet, and the people are killed, their blood will be on our hands! But if we blow the trumpet, we can save the people (33:5)! Let’s blow the trumpet in love!
