Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 25
V.1 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” This verse applies to us because Christians are called to be kings (1 Pet 2:7; Rev 5:10). So, God hides truths in the Bible, often in parables, and as kings, we are called to search for and discover those truths.
This applies to endtime truths, as well, and it’s our responsibility to not just say, “It’s too deep and complicated, so it’s too difficult for me,” or, “There are many different opinions, and I don’t know which one is right, so, I’ll just remain neutral and won’t take any position,” but to search until we find the answers! God concealed it because He wants the hungry and diligent to find it! Let’s be among the ones who find it!
デボーション1/2：箴言25章
2節には、「事を隠すのは神の誉れ。事を探るのは王の誉れ。」とあります。クリスチャンが王となるように召されているので（1ペテロ2:7、黙5:10）、この聖句は私たちにも当てはまります。ですから、神は聖書の中に、しばしばたとえ話の中に真理を隠しておられます。そして王である私たちは、それらの真理を探し求め、発見するよう召されているのです。
これは終末時の真理にも当てはまります。「それはあまりにも深くて複雑なので、私には難しすぎる」とか、「いろいろな意見があって、どれが正しいのかわからないので、中立を保ち、どの立場も取らない」と言うのではなく、答えが見つかるまで探し求めることが私たちの責任です。神は、飢え渇き、勤勉な者たちが答えを見つけることを望んでおられるので、それを隠されたのです。私たちも、答えを見つける者の一人になりましょう！
Devotion 2 of 2: 1 John 1
V.7 says, “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” How do we walk in the light? Contrary to most people’s thinking, I don’t think it’s “walking in righteousness” or “walking without sinning.”
Rather, I think it’s always confessing our sins without hiding or denying them! That’s what v.8-10 are talking about! And when we do confess our sins, v.9 says Jesus will cleanse us from all unrighteousness! This is also what v.7 is saying, “If we walk in the light…the blood of Jesus…cleanses us from all sin.”
So, let’s walk in the light! Let’s humbly confess our sins! Jesus will keep us in the light by forgiving our sins!
デボーション2/2：1ヨハネ1章
7節には、「しかし、神が光の中におられるように、私たちも光の中を歩んでいるなら、私たちは互いに交わりを保ち、御子イエスの血はすべての罪から私たちをきよめます」とあります。どのようにして光の中を歩むのでしょうか？多くの人が考えているのとは異なり、「義のうちを歩む」とか「罪を犯さずに歩む」ことではないと思います。
むしろ、罪を隠したり否定したりすることなく、常に告白することだと思います！8-10節はまさにそのことを語っています！そして、私たちが罪を告白すると、9節にはイエスがすべての不義から私たちをきよめてくださるとあります！7節も「私たちが光の中を歩んでいるなら…イエスの血は…すべての悪から私たちをきよめます」と言っています。
さあ、光の中を歩みましょう！謙虚に罪を告白しましょう！イエスは私たちの罪を赦し、私たちを光の中に保ってくださいます！
