Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 21
V.23 says, “Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.” We have all experienced this verse in the reverse…when we didn’t guard our tongue, we ended up in a heap of trouble! I remember once I told a sister in the church that her way of talking was too light and not serious. The result? She stopped coming to church!
So, let’s mature as Christians and choose our words wisely so we don’t hurt or stumble people!
8/31（日）箴言21章（デボーション1）
23節には、「自分の口と舌とを守る者は、自分自身を守って苦しみに会わない。」とあります。私たちは皆、この聖句の逆の立場を経験したことがあります。舌を守らなかった時に、たくさんの苦難に巻き込まれたのです。以前、私は教会である姉妹に「話し方が軽薄で真剣さに欠ける」と言った時のことを覚えています。その結果、彼女は教会に来なくなりました！
ですから、クリスチャンとして成熟し、人を傷つけたりつまずかせたりしないよう、言葉を賢く選びましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 21
In v.7-36, Jesus prophesies about the last days. But we must remember that He is speaking some verses to one group of people and other verses to another group. To understand the endtime, we must discern what verses Jesus is speaking to whom! Let’s take a look at some verses in this passage and discern who He is speaking to.
V.8-11=To all Christians. V.12-19=To Overcoming Christians. V.20-23=To Jews before Armageddon. V.24=To Jews from 70 AD to Armageddon. V.25-28=To Christians at end of tribulation. V.29-36=To present day Christians.
Let’s study the Bible about the endtime so we will not be in the dark but in the light, understanding God’s plan!
