Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 8
This chapter is about wisdom. 1 Cor 1:24 says that “…Christ…is the wisdom of God.” So parts of this chapter can apply to Jesus, especially v.22-36, where wisdom is being described like a person.
Wisdom was from everlasting (v.23); when God prepared the heavens, wisdom was there (v.27); during creation, wisdom was beside God as a master craftsman (v.30); whoever finds wisdom finds life (v.35); etc.
Thank God that our Savior is wisdom personified! Let’s listen to Him, “For blessed is the man who listens to me…” (v.34).
8/18（月）箴言8章（デボーション1）
この章は知恵についてです。コリント人への第一の手紙1章24節には、「キリストは神の知恵です」とあります。ですから、この章の一部、特に22節から36節は、知恵が人格を持つものとして描写されている箇所で、イエスに当てはまります。
知恵は・・・初めから立てられた（23節）、神が天を堅く立てたとき、そこにいた（27節）、神が地の基を定めたとき、これを組み立てていた（29-30節）、知恵を見出す者は命を見出す（35節）、などです。
私たちの救い主が知恵の化身であることを神に感謝しましょう！「幸いなことよ･･･わたしの言うことを聞く人は。」（34節）そうです！主の言うことに耳を傾けましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 8
In v.4-8, Jesus taught the parable of the sower. The disciples asked Jesus what it meant, and Jesus gave an important answer in v.10 that tells us how to interpret the whole Bible: “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.”
Jesus said that some people will understand (because He will reveal it to them!), but it is spoken in parables so that others don’t understand! Why? Because if they understood, they would try to stop God’s plan from taking place, like the Pharisees sealed Jesus’ tomb to try to prevent Jesus’ resurrection (Matt 27:62-66)!
So, the Bible is full of parables that reveal God’s plans for mankind! Let’s ask Jesus to reveal the meaning of these parables to us so we will not be in the dark, but understand and cooperate with God for His plans to be fulfilled!

4-8節で、イエスは種まきのたとえ話を教えられました。弟子たちはイエスにその意味を尋ねました。そしてイエスは10節で、聖書全体の解釈の仕方を教える重要な答えを与えられました。「あなたがたに、神の国の奥義を知ることが許されているが、ほかの者には、たとえで話します。彼らが見ていても見えず、聞いていても悟らないためです。」
イエスは、ある人々は理解する（イエスが啓示するからです！）が、他の人々は理解できないようにたとえ話で語られると言われました。なぜでしょうか？もし彼らが理解したら、パリサイ人がイエスの復活を阻止しようとして墓を封印したように（マタイ27:62-66）、神の計画が実現するのを阻止しようとするからです。
このように、聖書には人類に対する神の計画を示すたとえ話が数多くあります。私たちが暗闇の中にいるのではなく、神の計画が成就されるように神に協力できる教会となりましょう。そのため、これらのたとえ話の意味を明らかにしてくださるようイエスに祈り求めましょう。
