Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Chron 6

We see the family lines of the tribe of Levi listed in this chapter. From v.1 to 30, we see the Levites who served in the tabernacle, caring for and, when Israel moved, carrying the various furniture and other precious items of the tabernacle. They are a type of the believers who serve in various ministries in the church to keep it functioning!
Some ministries that believers do are: Witnessing before the service; Setting up and putting away chairs; Getting first timers’ photos and information; Handling mic, cameras, power point slides and live broadcasts on YouTube; Taking care of offerings and Communion; etc., etc. These people are the Levites in SI!
Some of the tribe of Levi were musicians (v.31-43). They welcomed the presence of God into their midst through their skilled music and singing. They represent the worship team in the church. Let’s thank God for them!

Devotion 2 of 2: Gal 6

I want to focus on 1 verse and apply it to the endtime church. It’s v.9: “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” We believe in the endtime revival, and we are praying for it fervently.
But at times we grow weary and wonder, “Will revival really happen? Are my prayers really being heard? Will God answer and bring revival to Japan?” Doubts creep in, and we begin to feel discouraged. It’s easy to give up and stop praying because we don’t see any signs that revival is actually happening.
But at those times let’s remember the 120 who didn’t quit but prayed in the upper room in Jerusalem until God answered and sent the Holy Spirit in Acts 2! Because they didn’t give up, the Christian Church was born! Let’s not quit but let’s persevere in prayer until we give birth to the greatest revival in history—the LDR!
