Devotion 1 of 3: Jer 44

In this chapter, Jeremiah speaks very strong words of judgment against the Jews who escaped to Egypt. He declared that they would die by the sword and famine in Egypt (v.12) because they were continuing the idolatry they had done in Judah, which had caused Judah to be destroyed (v.7-9).
But the Jews made the opposite claim about their idolatry! They said when they burned incense to the queen of heaven, they were well-off and saw no trouble (v.17)! But after they stopped, they lacked everything and were consumed by the sword and famine (v.18)!
In the present, this exact same thing is happening! People look at the same event but have 2 completely opposite opinions of what happened and why! This is why we need discernment to uncover what is true and what is a lie. In Jeremiah’s case, history has proved what Jeremiah said was true and what the idolaters said was a lie.

Devotion 2 of 3: Rom 16

I want to focus on v.25-27, the last verses of this epistle. Paul prayed to God alone be glory through Jesus.
He also prayed for God to establish the Christians in Rome: 1) According to his and Jesus’ preaching, 2) According to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and also 3) According to the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations by God’s command for obedience to the faith.
This prayer has application to the endtime because, just as the teaching of Paul that Jesus was the Messiah who provided salvation for mankind through the cross was a mystery that was manifested in Paul’s day, so the teaching of the endtime revival was a mystery that is being manifested in our day!
And just as the Messianic prophecies of redemption were made known in Paul’s time by God’s command from the prophetic Scriptures of the OT, so God’s endtime restoration and revival plan are being made known today from the OT by God’s command! Let’s thank God for His revelation being made known to us today!

Devotion 3 of 3: John 12

6 days before His crucifixion, Jesus taught an important truth about death in v.24, “…unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” By dying for mankind, Jesus was able to provide salvation for billions of people!
This truth also applies to the LDC. We know from Rev 11:3 that, as the 2 witnesses, the LDC will minister for 3.5 years, spreading revival around the world. This will take place during the 1st half of the tribulation. Let’s believe the LDC will lead hundreds of millions, or perhaps billions, of people to Christ.
But we will be martyred in the middle of the tribulation (Rev 11:7). But 3.5 days later, we’ll be resurrected, then raptured to heaven, which will be witnessed by the whole world (Rev 11:11-13)! I believe millions of people who see this amazing scene will repent of their sins and be saved! So, our deaths will also produce much grain! PTL!

PTL!
