Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 144

This is a song from David asking God for blessing upon Israel. This was to fulfill Israel’s calling to be a testimony to the world of how a nation is blessed if they follow the Lord.
God answered David’s prayers and gave many blessings to Israel, such as: Victory over other nations (v.7, 10-11), healthy and blessed children (v.12), abundant harvest and livestock (v.13-14) & happiness in the people (v.15).
Let’s also ask God to give His church in Japan victory over Satan’s kingdom, physical and spiritual health in our children, abundant number of souls won to Christ and great joy and love in the congregation! Let’s pray for all the churches in Japan to grow in spirituality and numerically into the hundreds and even thousands so that we can be a great witness to Japan of how wonderful following Jesus is!

Devotion 2 of 2: Philem 1

This letter conveys the story of a man whose life was transformed from slavery to one of the most famous Christians in history because his testimony was included as a book in the NT, read by millions of people around the world!
The prison is a place we think is cursed, where nothing good can be found! But that’s where Onesimus met Paul, who led him to salvation in Christ (v.10, 15-16)! That’s also where Joseph met the butler who eventually introduced him to Pharaoh, which led to Joseph’s release and promotion to become the prince of Egypt!
So, God can use even a prison to manifest His glory! Does our company sometimes feel like a prison to us? By faith let’s change it into a place of miracles, where people can be born again or transformed into kings!
