Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 16
Inheritance of Joseph in the north, divided between Ephraim and the half tribe of Manasseh (v.4). They didn’t drive out all the Canaanites, but used them as forced laborers (v.10). The ideal would have been to drive out all the Canaanites, but they managed to bring out the good out of the bad!
Let’s learn to not focus on the bad, but to find the good in the bad and emphasize that!

Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 15
Inheritance of Judah was in the south (v.1-12), and the inheritance of Caleb was within Judah’s (v.13-19). Caleb offered his daughter Achsah to anyone who could conquer the city Kirjath Sepher, and Othniel conquered it. He was brave and strong and became the first judge to lead Israel in Canaan (Judges 3:9).
But Achsah was also a strong woman! She knew she needed water, boldly asked her father Caleb for it, and got 2 springs of water (v.18-19)! In the LDR, bold and strong women will be mightily used by God to defeat AC and bring salvation to many!
